Resting on a piédouche and a black marble base with curled handles, decorated with a lakeside scene in polychrome, D’Après Caunay/ Vue des Environs de Messine/ Ecole Française et D’Après Valencienne/ Vue du Lac Némi près Rome/ Ecole Française, the other side decorated with an image of a man with child from antiquity, D’Après Gérard/ Bélisaire et D’Après Gérard/ Homère, both represented in a golden rectangular cartouche, re-engraved with foliate scrolls on a gilt background, the neck and piédouche with gilt decoration; some ware.
