A Louis XVI Ormolu-Mounted Tulipwood, Amaranth and Parquetry Commode, stamped Bury and JME , circa 1785

The eared, molded and breakfront gray-veined white marble top above three paneled frieze-drawers with foliate scrolls centering a trellised cartouche, above three paneled doors, the central one with an inscribed oval, enclosing to the center two drawers and to the sides with a shelf, the stop-fluted angles above turned tapering legs with simulated fluting terminating in sabots.
