Romeo and Juliet by C Franklin Tuttle

Oil on canvas of romantic scene depicting Romeo serenading Juliet with lute, in a moulded frame painted with a broad band of scrolling decoration. Signed and dated C. F. Tuttle, 1881.

C. Franklin Tuttle exhibited at the Royal Academy a painting called “Lonely” in 1882 and two works at the Society of British Artists in Suffolk street in 1883. He lived in London.
